Genwave Technologies announced a major milestone

On Friday, December 5, 2025 at 1:18 PM in Mississauga, Ontario, its first Private 5G call was successfully completed on Canada’s new NCL band private spectrum. This marks Genwave’s official move into live Private 5G delivery and reinforces the company’s position as one of Canada’s strongest integrators for industrial, utility, transportation, and mission critical wireless.

The call was completed on Genwave’s own Private 5G platform, designed and commissioned by the company’s RF engineering and systems teams. It reflects the depth of Genwave’s technical bench, and the industry experience the team brings from years of complex wireless deployments across Canada.

Rob Graham, President and CEO of Genwave, spoke to what this unlocks for Clients:

“Private 5G is liberating for the enterprise. Our clients gain real control of their spectrum, their data and how their network behaves. They are no longer dependent on public systems that were never built for their specific operational reality.

With Private 5G, our clients shape the solution, coverage, customized to their applications and environment, on their terms. Today’s call shows that this level of control is now within reach for Canadian organisations.”

Genwave’s Private 5G program focuses on industrial grade reliability, deterministic performance and practical deployment paths that help organisations modernise operations, automate workflows and improve situational awareness.

This milestone builds on Genwave’s reputation as a Canadian, execution-driven wireless partner known for advanced RF engineering, strong field delivery and deep knowledge of real-world operational environments.
